Apostolos GENITSARIS Chairman, Europartenariat Hellas 1997 Organising Committee |
The 16th Europartenariat of the Commission of the European Union will be held in June 1997 in the largest Greek port, Piraeus. The Europartenariat concept is a proven and successful part of the EU initiative for development and co-operation of small and medium-sized enterprises. We are therefore very honoured to host the Europartenariat event for the second time in Greece, after the very successful event held in Thessaloniki in 1992.
Europartenariat is an excellent way to create contacts between enterprises, which is an important requirement for their growth. Arranging and participating in a Europartenariat is also a modern approach to stimulating and improving small enterprises. Networking, working in virtual organisations, is the sensible way of doing business.
The 400 selected small and medium-sized companies of Europartenariat Hellas 1997 are productive and innovative and have a strong sense of quality down to the last detail.
They have the prerequisites for expansion and are led by managers who have the will, power and knowledge to commercialise profitable ideas. I am convinced that the profitable deals that will be generated by the event will meet the expectations of the companies visiting Piraeus.
On behalf of the Organising Committee, I would like to thank the National Counsellors for their valuable and indispensable work and all those who in the coming months will help make the event a success.
I would like also to thank the Europartenariat Secretariat personnel and everybody else concerned for their enthusiasm, commitment and hard work they have dedicated to this collective adventure and I take great pleasure in wishing you all a very warm welcome to Europartenariat Hellas 1997.
